Rio de Janeiro, Brazil -- SCAD Atlanta fencer
Gabriella Vianna continued a weekend of competition at the Coupe de Monde in Brazil. In her first international tournament of the season, she performed brilliantly and delivered a performance that shows her endurance and wisdom. She continued to compete at a high level after fencing for three days.
A few days earlier, she took home the silver medal at the Brazilian National Tournament, where she fenced against top Brazilian athletes to secure a spot on the Brazilian National Team. Despite feeling a little fatigued, Vianna turned out a solid performance at the Coupe de Monde, finished 10th overall.

- Advanced to Direct Elimination Round after winning 3 bouts in the Pool Rounds, ranking in 7th place.
