Rio de Janeiro, Brazil -- SCAD Atlanta Fencer Gabriella Vianna competed at the Brazil Open this weekend. She continues to deliver fabulous efforts and performances that pay off greatly, leaving her finishing in the top-10 individuals. This was the last national tournament in Brazil, so maintaining position in the rankings was key throughout the day. 

In the Pool Rounds, Vianna won all her bouts and received only 3 touches from opponents, ______ her to the Direct Elimination Rounds. Vianna remained dominant through the quarter finals, however in the semi-finals she was shy of the medal by one touch. Her efforts resulted in finishing in third place, receiving a bronze medal, and keeping within the first 3 National rankings.
