3/1/2026 1:31:00 PM

Atlanta, GA -- No. 2 SCAD Esports - League of Legends team opened the first week of the CLOL South Conference Playoffs with authority, sweeping No. 15 Georgia Tech 3-0 in an all-Atlanta matchup. The Bees showcased three distinct styles across the series, combining controlled macro with explosive skirmishing to advance in the winner's bracket.

Game 1 - Skirmish Control (Win, 29:24)
K'Sante / Ambessa / Taliyah / Caitlyn / Neeko
KDA: 24 / 16 / 38

SCAD drafted for tempo and map movement in Game 1, using Caitlyn lane priority and Taliyah roams to create early advantages. Strong mid-jungle coordination allowed SCAD to stack early objectives and consistently win river fights. A decisive mid-game engage around Baron broke the game open, and SCAD closed cleanly at 29 minutes.

Game 2 – Comfort and Precision (Win, 17:10)
Yorick / Ivern / Anivia / Aphelios / Alistar
KDA: 29 / 9 / 55

Game 2 was SCAD at its sharpest. Extreme comfort pick, Anivia, piloted by Graduate student Wyatt Todd anchored the map while Ivern and Alistar enabled decisive engages. Early skirmish wins snowballed quickly, and with Yorick pressuring side lanes, SCAD accelerated the game to a dominant 17 minute finish, the fastest win in all of South Playoffs.

Game 3 – Lane Dominance and Pressure (Win, 24:02)
Sett / Kha'Zix / Hwei / Tristana / Pyke
KDA: 44 / 20 / 47

With a 2-0 lead, SCAD leaned into confidence for Game 3, drafting for lane pressure and mechanical skirmishing across the map. The pace accelerated immediately, with early fights breaking out in multiple lanes and snowballing into a 44-kill performance. Rather than slowing the game down, SCAD embraced the tempo, consistently winning isolated duels and turning up the heat in side-lane skirmishes to secure the sweep in just over 24 minutes.
