London, Kent. – The duo of senior
Michelle Madden and sophomore
Ashley Madden paced the SCAD Atlanta women's golf team to a 3rd place finish at the Bill Sergent Invitational hosted by the University of the Cumberlands.
The younger Madden finished with a two-day total of 156 (76-80) while the older Madden completed the tournament with a two-total of 160 (80-80) on the 5,867 yard Crooked Creek Golf Course. Ashley's total of 156 was good enough for a 6th place finish and a place on the All-Tournament Team.
Rounding out the top five scores for the Bees were junior
Gina Son (82-81), junior
Yasmine Faieq (84-83) and sophomore
Manon Burkhart (93-91). The Bees two day total of 322-324 was good enough to beat Lindsey Wilson College who finished the 2013 season with a national ranking of 18th.
Competing individually for the Bees were
Ellis Martin (83-80),
Ali Thomas (93-80),
Miko Dougherty (82-96) and
Natalie Falco (92-95).
The Bees return to competition on September 23rd at the NAIA Preview in Lincoln, Nebraska.
