ATLANTA – The SCAD Atlanta men's tennis team split a pair of head-to-head matches over the weekend.

On Saturday, SCAD Atlanta hosted Dalton State College at the Bitsy Grant Tennis Center. After losing two of the three doubles matches, SCAD Atlanta rallied during singles play. With the score knotted at 4-4, Dalton State's

"It was a heart-breaking loss for the men's team although they showed great fight today," said Coach Glen Hill. "Some sloppy doubles put us in a hole, but it looked like we were going to climb out of it with some excellent singles play. To lose the match on two close three-setters is a tough way to go down, but we'll take the positives from it and do a better job when we play them again in a few weeks."

On Sunday, the Bees hosted Shorter University and left the courts with a huge win.

"Today was a great win against a Shorter team that handled us pretty easily a year ago," stated Hill. "An injury to Alex Maeda saw us throwing some new doubles teams together and I was happy to see the men adapt without losing a step. Sweeping the three through six singles shows just how deep our team is right now."

The Bees travel to Point University on February 28th. The match will begin at 10 a.m. (CST).
