Brazil - SCAD's own Gabriella Vianna placed 8th at the Brazilian National Fencing Championships in the Senior Women's Foil event. After qualifying for the knockout rounds with a 4-2 record during the group stage, Vianna two rounds in elimination before falling to World #94th ranked Ana Beatriz 7-15 in the quarter finals.
