Bees Compete at Cross Country Nationals

QUICK LAP: The SCAD Atlanta quartet of Belinda Chepkosgei, Avery Raymond, Trent Wells, and William Karim competed in the NAIA Cross Country National Championships at the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site in Vancouver, Washington. With over 300 athletes toeing the line, the meet showcased the best runners in the NAIA competing to take home the national title. The four SCAD runners qualified for the championships based on their finishes at the Appalachian Athletic Conference Championships two weeks prior.

DID YOU KNOW? This was the second time at Cross Country nationals for Sophomore Trent Wells and Junior Belinda Chepkosgei.

MENS INDIVIDUAL Results (328 Finishers):
Trent Wells (Shreveport, La. / Game Design): 173rd – 26:51.6
William Karim (Spring, Tex. / Film & Television): 232nd – 27:19.6

WOMENS INDIVIDUAL Results (331 Finishers):
Belinda Chepkosgei (Eldoret, Kenya / Interior Design): 157th – 24:08.8
Avery Raymond (Raymore, Mo. / Sculpture): 207th – 24:31.9

WHAT'S NEXT? The Bee's return to competition in January, opening up their indoor track and field season. They'll travel up to Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, competing in the Commodore Challenge.
