QUICK LAP: The SCAD Atlanta cycling team competed in the Truett McConnell Mountain Bike Race in Cleveland, GA, taking on a variety of challenging mountain biking events as they continue their quest for MTB Nationals. Riders showed determination and strength across multiple events, securing some strong finishes against tough competition. 

RESULTS: 

• Team Relay – 4th place 
• Gabe Payne (Industrial Design / Austin, Tex.) – 4th in XC, 9th in XCC 
• Sam Mayer (Advertising / Franklin, Tenn.) – 17th in XC, 11th in XCC, 29th in DS, 32nd in DH 
• Maria Döring (Creative Business Leadership / Großschönau, Germany) – 3rd in XC, 4th in XCC, 7th in DS, 12th in DH 
• Danica Lee (Painting / Acworth, Ga.) – 32nd in XC, 29th in XCC 

WHAT'S NEXT? The Bees head to the Lees-McRae Mountain Bike Race on September 21 and 22. The race will mark the second stop in qualifying for MTB Nationals this October. Stay tuned for more exciting action as we push toward Nationals!
