Quick Lap: The SCAD Atlanta Track and Field teams sent a quartet of Bees qualified for the NAIA Indoor National Championships. They sent 3 individual qualifiers,
Katie Clarke in the 3000 Meters,
Avery Raymond in the Mile, and Ashlyn Vandlandingham in the 1000 Meters. The Women's Distance Medley Relay also qualified for the Championships.
Katie Clarke and
Ashlyn Vanlandingham are no strangers to the Indoor National Championships stage; this was
Avery Raymond and
Tatum Dykstra's debut.
After three days of competition, they returned back to Atlanta with 4 All-Americans.
Katie Clarke raced to a 5
th place finish in the 3000 Meters final. She is walking away from Nationals as a seven-time All-American. The Women's Distance Medley Relay gave the race of a lifetime, finishing 8
th in the relay.
Ashlyn Vanlandingham bested her time and place from last year in the 1000 meters.

DID YOU KNOW? The Women's Distance Medley relay broke the school record for the relay, running under the 12-minute barrier. This was the most competitive relay race in NAIA Indoor National Championship history.
WHAT'S NEXT? The Bees open their Outdoor Track and Field season with a split squad the weekend of March 21
st to 22
nd. A small group will head to Georgia Tech's Yellow Jacket Invitational, while another will make an appearance at the Emory Spring Break Invitational.
