QUICK HIT: The SCAD Atlanta Women's Tennis team played the first round of the NAIA National Championship in Mobile, Alabama on May 13th, playing against Oklahoma Wesleyan University. The best 24 teams of the country meet to play a direct elimination bracket to ultimately lead to a National Champion. The teams can either qualify through winning their Conference tournament or by having a high enough ranking throughout the season. The first 8 seeded teams win the first round, and then the #9-ranked team plays the #24-ranked team, the #10-ranked team plays the #23-ranked team.
It was a good first round, with the team being able to catch some match rhythm. The women's team won 4-0, advancing to the second round.
RECORDS: On the women's side, the bees faced a #24 OWU. With the win, the record now stands at 15-7.
