Jacksonville, Flor. -- The SCAD Fencing Team kicked off the 2025–2026 season with an impressive showing at the first regional tournament, Battle of the Beach, held in Jacksonville, Florida. The event drew an international field, with athletes registered from countries such as Japan and Egypt, making the competition even more exciting.
In the DIV1A Men's category,
Gregorio Isolani and
Anton Korablin delivered strong performances, securing 2nd and 3rd place respectively. Korablin's bronze finish also earned him a well-deserved B25 ranking upgrade. On the women's side, Sasha Korablina dominated from start to finish, ranking 1st after pools and going on to claim the gold medal in DIV1A Women's. Overall, the team fenced with power and consistency, setting the tone for what promises to be a thrilling season. With that, they now look ahead to the upcoming North American Cup in October.
