Parrott Sets New 400 Meter School Record at Emory Qualifier

Atlanta, GA – The Bees headed to Emory for the first of two last chance meets this week, eager for a high level competition to push athletes to secure Nationals qualifying marks. Competitors hailed from programs across Georgia, ranging from Georgia Tech to Oglethorpe University.

Freshman Jada Parrott delivered an exceptional performance, breaking the school record for the 400 meters by beating the standing time of 1:05.50, set by Caroline Moody in 2023. Due to a storm cancellation, the 5k and 4x400m relay were canceled. A few athletes will have another shot to qualify for Nationals on Saturday at Lee University.
