Bowling Competes Locally at Tier One Tournament

Marietta, Ga. -- The SCAD Atlanta bowling teams competed close to home at the Bowlero Southern Collegiate Classic, a Tier 1 tournament featuring top collegiate programs. The tournament featured a format of 6 Team Games and 20 Baker Games, testing the teams' consistency and endurance across various conditions.

MEN'S TEAM SCORE
  • Achieved a total pinfall of 9746, finishing 8th overall.
MEN'S INDIVIDUAL SCORES

Men's Varsity Team:
  • Kieryn Knox (West Orange, N.J. / Advertising): Averaged 222 across 6 games -- 9th place
  • Christian Knowles (Snellville, Ga. / Advertising): Averaged 203.167 across 6 games -- 27th place
  • Andrew Kearney (Austin, Texas / Advertising): Averaged 197.2 across 5 games
  • Bradley Emerson (Lebanon, Tenn. / Animation): Averaged 185.5 across 4 games
  • Joshua Wilson (Sanford, Fla. / Photography): Averaged 180 across 3 games

  • Maria Hernandez (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic / Industrial Design): Averaged 185.667 across 6 games -- 21st place

COACH'S THOUGHTS
Reflecting on the tournament, Coach Michael McNeely shared his thoughts, saying, "The ladies had another strong Tier One outing, showing great consistency and competitiveness. The men battled hard but are still working on churning out more strikes. This tournament highlighted areas for improvement, but it also showcased our team's ability to adapt and compete under pressure. I'm confident we're heading in the right direction."

WHAT'S NEXT? SCAD Atlanta will head to Savannah, Ga., for the SCAD Collegiate Shootout on Nov. 16-17, wrapping up the first half of their season.
