Atlanta, GA -- The SCAD League of Legends team has officially secured a place in the Top 4 of the PlayVS College League (PCL), following a dominant 2–0 sweep over the #7 University of Toronto, Mississauga (UTM). This quarterfinal berth comes one week after their scheduled Top-16 match against the #15 ranked University of British Columbia Okanagan, which SCAD advanced from due to a forfeit.

The Bees entered the UTM match focused and prepared, using the series to reaffirm the disciplined style that carried them through an undefeated 7-0 regular season. Their abilities in setting up early-game structure, clean objective sequencing, and late-game map control were on full display as they closed out the series in convincing fashion. This match highlighted SCAD's strong read of the current patch. Thomas Xiong (TyenoX) brought out Mel bottom, capitalizing on her recent significant buff in strength to apply constant poke and pressure. His setup allowed and encouraged David Yip Chau (Wartrim) to make aggressive and swift plays with his newly trained Ambessa jungle, whose reliable engage tools created advantages across every lane.

Meanwhile, Eric Yin (Mixtsure), offering early skirmish strength through his Poppy pick, cross-map awareness, and stable mid-game shotcalling. His ability to guide transitions from early leads into clean, map-wide control remains central to SCAD's success.

With their victory, the Bees now advance to the PCL Semifinals, where they will take on #3 University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill, one of the most established and respected collegiate League of Legends programs in the country.

Match time and potential broadcast details for the semifinal against UNC Chapel Hill will be announced soon.
