Atlanta, GA -- The SCAD League of Legends concluded its PlayVS College League (PCL) playoff run with a Top 4 finish after a close semifinal loss to the #3 University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill. The match caps a strong postseason in which the Bees demonstrated solid preparation and high-level play, despite narrowly missing the finals.
SCAD opened the semifinal with a decisive Game 1 win. After stealing away UNC's key comfort champions in the draft, such as Jax and Ambessa, the Bees controlled the early game and maintained pressure across the map, converting their draft strategy into a confident series lead.
Games 2 and 3 unfolded differently. In both, SCAD built early advantages through their superior lane mechanics and proactive map decisions. However, several mid-game mistakes allowed UNC to slow the pace and shift the momentum. As both games reached the late stage, UNC's scaling compositions became difficult to match, leading to two close reversals and a 1-2 series loss for the Bees.
SCAD ends the season with a Top 4 National finish in the PCL and an undefeated 7–0 regular season, reinforcing the program's position as one of the most consistent and competitive teams in collegiate League of Legends.
The Bees return to competition in January 2026!
