Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. – The SCAD Atlanta Men's and Women's Golf teams continued their season at the Seahawk Shootout this weekend, hosted at the PGA National Resort. On the women's side, five out of the top 10 NAIA schools were represented, making it one of the most competitive fields the Bees will play all year, apart from the NAIA National Championships. The women are currently #7 in the preseason rankings; the men went into the season unranked. The men's field provided high competition with several NAIA Top-20 teams in attendance.
Despite hot conditions that also included a weather delay on Day 2 of the tournament, the women put up a great effort, finishing 4th out of 17 teams with a stand out from Amanda Jurander, who finished 8th out of 91 players. The men finished in 11th place out of 16 teams.
