SAVANNAH, GA – The Bowling Bees were on a roll this past Saturday at the Bowlero Savannah Bowling Center, the same arena the Conference Championship will be contested at later this month. A sparkling performance was crucial at the tournament as it was one of the few select NAIA Regional tournaments chosen around the country this season. The competition also included the top three teams from the Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC), providing a preview of the upcoming Conference Championship. The tournament followed a 5-team games format, with SCAD Men's Bowling scoring a total of 4870 pinfalls to place 3rd out of 11 teams, and the women's team scoring a total of 4699 pinfalls to place 3rd out of 4 teams.
After tearing through the competition to both finish in 2nd place respectively,
Kieryn Knox and
Mara Geiwitz both earned spots on the All-Tournament Team as top 5 bowlers in their respective divisions. Knox's impressive performance with a pinfall of 289 also tied the highest individual game in program history, an honor he shares with alum Danil Pervukhin.
