SCAD Atlanta men’s cross country makes SCAD Atlanta history

LaGrange, Ga. – The SCAD Atlanta men’s cross country team made school history by winning the first-ever team competition at the LaGrange Invitational in LaGrange, Georgia.
Freshman Genesis Henderson took top honors in the 8k event with a time of 26:00. SCAD Atlanta had all five runners finish in the top ten. Chad Cox (26:46) finished in second place and teammate Corey Bundy (27:17) finished in third place. Ryan Williams (28:45) placed fifth and Michael Watson (33:03) finished in tenth place.
Coach Avard Moncur said, “Both the team and I are very pleased with the progress we have made in this short period of time. We still have a lot of work to do, but a victory can only enhance our desire to be better and develop a greater focus on what we are trying to accomplish in the long run.”
