On Monday the 16th, in celebration of Martin Luther King Jr day, the SCAD Atlanta Cycling team spent their morning volunteering at Southside park with MTB Atlanta.

MTB Atlanta is a non-profit organization dedicated to increasing the accessibility of mountain biking in the greater Atlanta area. This project was dedicated to building a practice trail in Southside park for local youth leagues to use.
The SCAD Cycling crew spent several hours grooming the trail and picking up trash around the park. The team was excited to help the community and build new trails for the youth to ride on.

The upcoming months are shaping up to be an exciting time for SCAD BMX! The BMX nationals, taking place in Bakersfield, CA on March 10th, will feature Anna Christian and Denzel Stephenson representing SCAD. Meanwhile, the qualifiers for the road nationals are set to begin on the same weekend with a race at GA Tech. The road nationals, which will be held from May 5-7 in Albuquerque, NM, promise to be a showcase of the top cyclists in the country. Mark your calendars and don't miss out on these thrilling events.
