Thomson, GA– The Bees secured a 2nd place finish at the UNOH Southern Kickoff, hosted by the University of Northwestern Ohio. The small field featured good competition and fair weather on the 6500 yard, par-72 course. SCAD played three 18-hold rounds to record a team total of 909 strokes, just behind Truett McConnell, who secured the victory with a team total of 901 strokes. The Bees bested the #23 ranked University of Northwestern Ohio, following SCAD to place 3rd out of 9 teams. SCAD is currently ranked at 38.
Freshman
Brian Berta led the way for the Bees, securing his first collegiate victory to finish 1st out of 53 players after recording 77 strokes in round one, an impressive 68 strokes in round two, and 75 strokes in round three. Freshman
Pierce Long followed, finishing tied for 3rd for his best collegiate tournament yet.
